Each alpha-numeric character is associated with the typical finger used on a traditional QWERTY keyboard. Hopefully, the keyboard text association will make the learning curve simple and easy. It is designed to wrap your right or left hand all the way around the phone to touch the screen with your four typing fingers, but you are welcome to interact with the keyboard any way you would like. Customize it for a better or faster way to text.

The keyboard home position is flat on the table horizon holding in your hand. Letters JKL is the right hand home position associated with the index, middle, and ring finger on both keyboards.

Roll the phone with your wrist for
Red letters related to the
Right side of the keyboard.

Lift the phone towards yourself for
Light Blue letters related to the
Left side of the keyboard.

Press the Key when you reach the desired letter, number, or symbol character.

Turn the phone face upside down to add a space to the sentence or press the space key.

Other keyboard functions include caps, space, enter, delete, cursor location, and minimize keyboard. The alternate keyboard allows the ability to switch to the symbols and number keys to get additional characters. The numbers are based on the keypad on the right side of the keyboard and the symbols typically match the shift number they relate to on the traditional keyboard.

The application settings menu can be reached by pressing a key then swipe upward in a steady motion. Start in the lower left corner moving to the upper right. Or go to the applications icon to view the Typewinder settings menu. Several functions can be adjusted within the Settings menu to customize to your preferences.

How to Set-up menu contains the instructions how to install the application in the preferred configuration to operate the keyboard on several text applications effectively.Remember to turn-off the Auto-Rotate feature to optimize performance.

Launch Tutorial to graphically represent which letters are associated with which positions for a quick reference. It is designed for letters only, but the same principle applies to numbers and symbols keyboard.

Roll Sensor (Horizontal) adjust the keyboard sensitivity for wrist roll rotation. It relates to the horizontal position of the device. Choose between Low, Normal, and High to adjust how much or how little the device will respond to different position movement.

Lift Sensor (Vertical) adjust the keyboard sensitivity for the lift as the pitch is raised. It relates to the vertical position of the device. Choose between Low, Normal, and High to adjust how much or how little the device will respond to different position movement.

Left hand configuration will place the input keys on the right side of the device to allow a left handed user and mirror over the roll inward towards the user. Remember the positions will remain the same characters while holding with a different hand.

Reverse Roll Direction will mirror over the roll positions. By combining the left hand or right hand setting and reverse roll direction, it places the keys on the thumb side and keeps the same roll direction. It is helpful if you prefer to type with a thumb instead of four fingers by decreasing the reach and having the same device positions.

Flip for Space when on will create a space command during texting by turning the phone upside down. The space feature emphasis the one hand text input concept and keeps the flow of letters and numbers moving forward.

Vibrate on Key Press can be turned on or off for haptic feedback.

Sound on Key Press provides an audio feedback of the letter typed. The feature is helpful when first learning the associated positions for each letter. It provides audio confirmation of the letter typed without looking at the screen.
